I first seen them on a TV show and through, they sound fecking good. Seen their set at Glastonbury this year and it again was high energy short sharp songs. Loved it…reminded me of Strokes/Libertines of the past.
Thought the album was pretty good for a first offering from a bunch of 16 year olds. Didn’t have the polish that I’d expect from a big producer (Chris Thomas who did Different Class, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb etc.) which suits their live style.
Anything that harks back to the R&B 60s roots is going to get my vote, but I particularly liked Blue Collar Jane and Mystery Man. To sum up, could be a promising band for the future.
